Why the North is bleeding – Atiku

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday said the North is bleeding because the leaders in the zone have been complacent.

Atiku, in a statement said there was need for northern leaders to wake up from their slumber and collectively acknowledge that they face an existential threat.

He said they must never be shy of speaking about their challenges and then engaging to solve the problems.

Atiku added that to secure the north leadership in the right direction was needed.

In his words: “The North is bleeding because we’ve been complacent. We need to wake up from our slumber and collectively acknowledge that we face an existential threat.

“We must never be shy of speaking about our challenges and then engaging to solve the problems.
