Lagos which did not report any case on Monday returned to lead the daily chart with 431 cases.

Nigeria recorded 730 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, up from 385 recorded on Monday, swelling confirmed cases to 218,596.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said no death was recorded. Thus the death toll remains unchanged at 2,983.

The NCDC however gave a conflicting 2982 death figure in its Facebook post.

Lagos which did not report any case on Monday returned to lead the daily chart with 431 cases.

It was followed by the FCT Abuja with 174 cases, Rivers 38, Ogun 32, Akwa Ibom 25 and Anambra 11 cases.

Katsina logged seven cases, while Bayelsa and Niger reported four each.

Kano reported three and and Ekiti 1.

The centre said 211,254 people have been discharged.

So far, 3, 686,403 sample tests had been done since the virus was announced on 27 Feb. 2020.
