Association declares free education in Nasarawa school

The Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) Worldwide has declared free education from Junior Secondary School (JSS) 1 to 3 at Eggon Community Secondary School, Nassarawa Eggon, Nasarawa State.

Mr David Abuluya, the ECDA President, made this known on Friday while addressing newsmen in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

Abuluya said that the association declared education in the school in order to give children of the less privileged ones access to education considering its importance to societal development.

The president said that the importance of education to human and societal development could not be overemphasized, hence the need of the association decision in that direction.

“During my electioneering campaign, I have promised to resuscitate Eggon Community Secondary School, Nassarawa Eggon, due to its dilapidated nature.

“The school has decayed and still decaying, there is the need for all hands to be on deck to revive the school considering the importance of education to societal development.

“I went to the school, I have met with its management where I told them that tuition fees is free from JSS one to JSS three commencing next year.

“What I am doing is to give every child access to education,” he said.

Abuluya, therefore, urged parents to avail their children of the opportunity in their interest and for the overall development of Eggon nation and the state at large.

He assured of his readiness to partner with the government, relevant stakeholders and organizations in order to revive the school for development to thrive.

Besides, the president urged members of the association and other Nigerians to continue to be law-abiding, respect constituted authorities, live in peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.
