Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu disclosed this on Friday.
He said autopsy had been conducted on the deceased to ascertain what killed him and the nature of death.
Ajisebutu added that since the autopsy had been conducted, Oromoni’s corpse had been released to his family for burial.
He said the result of the autopsy was still being awaited.
The police spokesman added that investigation was still ongoing.
In his words: “Sylvester Oromoni: autopsy done. Result is being awaited. Corpse released to family for burial. Investigation ongoing.”
Oromoni was reportedly bullied to death by some senior students of Dowen College recently. The incident had gained national and international attention.
Some suspects have been arrested by the police and were still being held as investigations continue.
