The Judge, however, gave the convict an option of N300,000 fine.

Khobo further ordered the convict to pay N3m restitution to the victim, Frank Victor.

He held that if the convict fails to pay Victor, he will serve a one-year jail term.’

Earlier, the EFCC counsel, J. M. Musa, told the court that Jude was arrested following a petition filed by one Victor, accusing the convict of obtaining N3m from him under the pretext of executing a contract purportedly awarded to him by a Non-Governmental Organisation called ‘Hope For All’.

The EFCC said the offence contravenes the provisions of Section 217 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law, 2017.
