The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has reinstated his commitment to developing every part of the State, towards ensuring equitable distribution of dividends of democracy.

Abiodun, represented by his Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Oyedele Salako made this known at the inauguration of the Yewa People Development Council (YPDC) and end of the year reception of the Yewa Traditional Council, held at Ilaro.

Abiodun said it would be great injustice to concentrate development on a section and leave the others, adding that establishing the spirit of togetherness is a pivot on which societal development rest.

The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, called on sons and daughters of Yewaland to invest in their hometown to enhance development, emphasizing the need to complement the government’s effort.

“Let us face development and leave politics for the politicians. We must see how we can galvanise and bring our children all over the world together and encourage them towards the development of Yewaland”, Oba Olugbenle said.

In his presentation, the Chairman, YPDC, Prof. Rahaman Bello, said the non-profit organisation was created to carry out activities and enforce unity among the people of Yewaland, promote effective development in all strata, as well as giving optimum priority to the needs of the people in the area.
