“The bandits stormed Mariri area where Mu’azu resides with his family at about early Friday, and went straight to the lecturer’s house.

“He said all efforts made by the bandits to get access to the lecturer’s part of the house proved abortive as he was said to have hid in the ceiling.

“They broke all the window panels and shattered the glasses but they couldn’t enter because of the high security iron burglars. So, they instead went to his wife’s section and took her away alongside the two daughters,” he added.

“Gusau said the abductors were yet to reach out to the family for ransom, adding that he called one of the daughters, Maryam’s line in the morning and one of the abductors answered but later switched off the phone”.
