Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong said that his administration would prioritise the completion of physical infrastructure projects and human capital development in 2022.

The governor stated this in his new year message issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Macham on Friday.

He said that he would continue with his ongoing “Lalong Legacy Projects” across the 17 local governments in the state, while work on the British-America flyover bridge would be carried out.

Meanwhile, he urged Nigerians to be optimistic about the new year, adding that personal sacrifices were required for the progress of the nation.

Lalong added that the government needed the support of Nigerians to address critical issues militating against the peace, unity and progress of the country.

However, he noted that insecurity and unemployment which threaten the future of the nation would be overcome.

“Nigeria is tremendously blessed and endowed with not only natural resources but good people who want to live in peace and pursue legitimate endeavours in peace, unity and tranquillity.

“That is why we must all work together in the new year to confront those who want to take away the collective destiny of Nigerians through terrorism, banditry and other criminal activities.

“We must deny them such opportunity and also ensure that we put them to shame. We should do so believing that evil cannot triumph over good”, he said.

Thereafter, he wished Nigerians a prosperous 2022 while imploring them to continue showing mutual respect, love to one another.
