Born and brought up in Nigeria, singer and songwriter Mac P (Oghenekome Prosper) is already making a name for himself in the Afropop music scene. The Delta State-based Afro-fusion recording artist rose to prominence in late 2018 with his Erigga—assisted tune, “SENSE,” and under the influences of critically acclaimed artists such as Fela, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Drake, and Wizkid. Mac P continues to master his style of music that has garnered him local respect in Delta State through mainstream success.
Mac P’s music is equal parts smooth and genre-bending. With an affable delivery and penchant for gripping storytelling, the artist on the rise fuses Afropop and reggae with ease.
His impending debut EP is set to arrive this year.
