Mr. Promise Nnawali, a former commander of OSPAC vigilante group in Igwuruta community, Ikwerre local government area of Rivers State who was declared wanted by the Police in November 2020 over alleged murder of two men has been arrested.

Nnawali had allegedly had murdered Princewill Ogbondah and Peter Opurum whose remains have not been found till date, but fled when the families of his victims raised alarm and reported to the Police.

He was subsequently declared wanted by the police.

A brother to one of the victims, Mr. Goodluck Ogbondah, who confirmed the arrest of Nnawali. He commended the military for aiding his arrest.

However, Mr. Ogbondah urged the security agencies to prevail on Nnawali to show the families of the deceased where the remains of their brothers were dumped.

He also advised the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Friday Eboka to resist attempts by public figures in the area to compromise the investigation.

The Rivers State Police Command had on the 21st of November, 2020 declared Mr. Promise Nnawali wanted for killing two men in Iguwuruta.
