Former Big Brother Naija housemate Maria Chike has shared her thoughts on sequel of EbonyLife 2018 hit comedy film ‘Chief Daddy’, saying it was funny.

The 28-year-old said this in a Twitter post on Tuesday amid the criticism trailing the movie.

“Omg I’m just watching Chief daddy 2 and boy it’s hella funny! All I want to know is who served them the Nigerian rice and stew in Dubai? @BRODAshaggiNG May I please have the hookup,” she tweeted.

Since its release on New Year’s Day, the comedy film has largely has largely attracted negative reviews from viewers.

The movie’s sequel, produced by Mo Abudu, media entrepreneur, movie and TV producer is exclusive to Netflix, a global streaming platform.

Directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, the film follows a billionaire industrialist who dies after serving as a benefactor to an extended family of relatives, household staff, and mistresses.

The industrialist’s will, however, creates a crisis in his family.

The film features several top movie stars including Beverly Osu, Beverly Naya, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Nedu Wazobia, Chigul, Falz, and Kate Henshaw-Nuttal.

Others are Rahama Sadau, Mawuli Gavor, Funke Akindele-Bello, Shaffy Bello, Zainab Balogun, Joke Silva, Linda Ejiofor, Broda Shaggi, Uzor Arukwe, and Rachel Oniga.

Majority of Nigerians faulted the movie’s quality and storyline, arguing that it was below their expectations.
