Vincent Aboubakar scored two penalties as the Indomitable Lion of Cameroon defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 in AFCON opener on Saturday.
Cameroon, host of the AFCON, were 0-1 down on 24 minutes.
Gustavo Sangare converted a killer cross with a strong and precise shot that went across the goal and past the goalkeeper to give the visitors the lead.
On 40th minute, Aboubakar leveled for Cameroon from the penalty spot.
He made no mistake from the penalty spot after waiting for Herve Koffi to move before slotting the ball low into the middle of the goal.
Aboubakar converted another penalty on first half added time to give Cameroon 2-1 lead.
He won the battle of wills and sent an unstoppable penalty past Herve Koffi into the bottom left corner.
