Aquaman star Jason Momoa, and wife Lisa Bonet

Aquaman star, Jason Momoa, and wife Lisa Bonet have announced their split after five years of marriage.

Both actors announced their divorce in an emotional post on their verified Instagram page.

“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring,” the statement read. “And so~ We share our Family news~That we are parting ways in marriage,” the statement read.

“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy ~

“But so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty.

Momoa is an American actor, best known for his roles in Aquaman, Dune, and Game of Thrones where he filmed dreaded warlord Khal Drogo in 2017.

He made his first appearance as Aquaman in Batman v. Superman, before starring in his solo film, Aquaman, in 2018.

Bonet is also an American actress best known for her roles in The Cosby Show, A Different World, and Road to Paloma. Bonet and Momoa were married in 2017 and share two children together – Nakoa-Wolf and Lola Iolani.

The pair reportedly met at a jazz club in 2005 and got married in 2017.
