Vincent Aboubakar grabbed a brace for the second time as host Cameroon demolished Ethiopia 4-1 to reach AFCON’s round of 16.
Ethiopia shocked the host when they opened scoring on four minutes through Dawa Hotessa.
A terrific long pass from Amanuel Gebremichael picked out an unmarked Dawa Hotessa inside the box. He has time and space to pick his spot and slammed the ball into the bottom left corner.
Cameroon equalised on eight minutes. Collins Fai got to the by-line and sent in a lofted ball. Karl Toko Ekambi climbed highest and powered a close-range header into the middle of the goal.
The host got a second goal on 53 minutes. Fai was the architect of the goal as he clipped a neat ball into the box in the direction of Aboubakar, who jumped highest and steered a bullet header from the centre of the box into the bottom left corner.
Cameroon made it 3-1, with Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu providing Aboubakar with a nice pass inside the box. It allowed him to finish with a low shot into the middle of the goal.
On 67th minute, Karl Toko Ekambi finished his beautiful individual effort with a superb strike from inside the box to make it 4-1 for the host.
