4 shot dead at mining site in Plateau

Fresh bloodshed reported in Plateau state after four men were shot dead at a mining site in Dong village.

A woman who survived the gun attack is receiving treatment in the hospital, said community leader Emmanuel Dong.

According to him, the attack occurred around 6pm.

Plateau Police spokesman ASP Gabriel Ubah also confirmed the attack, The Nation reported.

Ubah, said: “We are aware of the attack and four people were killed.

“The Command has deployed armed police men to the area and calm has returned.”
