Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has sent his condolences to Senator Teslim Folarin, who represents Oyo Central Senatorial District, over the death of his wife, Angela.
Angela died in the UK on Friday.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senator, YSO Olaniyi, had confirmed the death in a statement on Friday.
The statement read, “With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the death of our wife, mother and sister, Chief (Barr.) Angela Nwaka Folarin.
“The wife of Oyo Central Senator was confirmed dead on Friday afternoon. She breathed her last in the UK.
“The deceased was hale and hearty until the angel of death knocked the door.
Reacting to her death, Lawan expressed shock and deep sadness at the tragic news, describing the deceased as a pillar of the family.
“I commiserate with Distinguished Senator Folarin on this most painful experience of the death of a loving wife.
“I urge Senator Folarin, as a devout Muslim, to accept the sad development as the will of Allah. I also pray the Almighty God to comfort the family,” Lawan said.
The Senate President condoles with members of the Folarin family, the Government and people of Oyo State over this painful loss.
He prays Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the dear departed and accept her soul into Aljannah firdausi.
