Nigeria records 87 new COVID-19 infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 87 new cases of COVID-19 in nine states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The NCDC, via its verified website on Saturday morning, said with the new figures, the caseload in the country on Friday reached 252,912, and the death toll remained 3,134, since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Along with that, the agency added that the country also recorded 228 recoveries within the same period.

The website stated that 228,632 Nigeria residents have been successfully treated and discharged nationwide.

The NCDC highlights the breakdown of the latest COVID-19 figure state-by-state as follows: Lagos (25), Rivers (16), FCT (15), Delta (9), Edo (7), Gombe (5), Nasarawa (4), Bauchi (3), Kano (1), Oyo (1), and Borno (1).
