Frank Lampard new Everton Manager

Frank Lampard has become the new manager of Everton FC replacing the sacked Rafael Benitez.

Although Everton have not made any official announcement, Sky Sports reported that Lampard had signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Former Swansea and Derby County manager Paul Clement will be his assistant manager.

Lampard became the leading candidate on Friday after Everton held a final round of talks with their candidates, and was formally offered the job on Saturday, Sky Sports said.

An official announcement will be made on Monday.

Before settling for Lampard, Everton management also spoke to Vitor Pereira – who exclusively told Sky Sports News on Wednesday that he wanted the job – plus Duncan Ferguson, who was placed in caretaker charge after Benitez’s departure.
