The Nursing Father blog has launched a massive campaign against poor parenting.

The Nursing Father Blog has launched a massive campaign against poor parenting.

The campaign was launched on Tuesday at the Divine Destiny Orphanage home in Lagos. in the presence of newsmen from across Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Stephen Omotayo, the founder of NFB, noted that the campaign was kickstarted at an orphanage home to give helping hands to some of the children facing the consequences of poor parenting.

He noted that many of the children on the streets or in foster care would have developed in a happy home if their parents were given proper education on parenting.

Omotayo, however, noted that the vision to make parenting easy birthed the creation of the Nursing Father Blog.

He added that the focus on the word “Father” was intentional because fatherhood is becoming old-fashioned.

Omotayo said: “Intentional fatherhood is becoming old-fashioned in this time and age. There is a dire need for fathers who will stick around to play active roles by instilling virtues, ideals, and discipline.

“It is safe to say that the menace of insurgence, insecurity & other social/civil vices rampant with this generation is stemmed from poor parenting.

“You would agree with me that the upheaval these societal maladies pose to our common good is greater than that of any pandemic or natural disaster combined.

“The vision of The Nursing Father Blog is to bring back the fast-eroding culture of accountable fatherhood, as fathers are the primary custodians of discipline and responsibility in a household.

“We are here today at this Orphanage – Destiny Kids Orphanage on a humanitarian basis, it is enshrined in our core goals to give our quota to societal growth.

“Our message is clear, we are committed to proper parenting, raising responsible people, and upholding premium moral standards.

“We enjoin everyone to visit Nursingfatherblog.com to get professional help, rub minds and make the world a better place for us and our children.”

Oluwatofunmi Omotayo, the Chief Operating Officer of NFB, added the main focus of the blog was to make parenting easy for Nigerians and everyone across the world.

She said: “Why we started this campaign was because we saw that there is a gap in parenting especially fatherhood so we saw this as an opportunity to share our experience as parents. We decided to bring out an innovative blog to talk about parenting, fatherhood – the challenges and offer solutions. In case you are going through some life situations, we can give our own advice and also refer you to other professionals.

“Our goal is to make parenting easy and fruitful by working with professionals and successful parents so we can train incoming parents and parents struggling with creating a better life for their children.”

Oluwatofunmi, however, urged parents to speak out when having troubles with their children.

She said: “Some parents have issues and believe that nobody can help, some people are also ashamed to seek help on how to be a better parent.

“This blog is here to help you and that’s why we launched it so we can create an online community where people get help without the fear of who is watching their steps to being a great parent.”
