Many dignitaries thronged the funeral ceremony of former head of Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan in Lagos, Nigeria on Friday.

Shonekan was buried at the Ikoyi Vault.

Before then, a funeral service was held for him at at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.

Also at the event were Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Governor Dapo Abiodun; former Ogun Governor, Ibikunle Amosun and wife, Olufunsho and former Kano Governor, Rabiu Kwakwanso.
