Winner of the 2021 Big Brother Naija Season 6, Hazel Onou popularly known as White Money has said his success at the reality show was not overnight because he worked for it.

The reality star, who exclaimed about how much fame his 2021 reality show run has amassed him in an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, took a hit at his critics.

White Money taunted naysayers who dismissed his “overnight success” as an easy go, asking them to audition for it themselves.

The singer also marveled at the warm reception he received from among citizens in far-away India and China.

“What I wanted was a bigger platform to showcase my talents which have no boundaries. There’s music, acting comedy, and other entertaining things I can do. I needed a platform to showcase that,” White Money said.

“If I were to have started from scratch, I’d probably have to act like ten movies. I decided it was only BBNaija that would give me that success at once. I kept on for years and God saw me through.

“For those who believe it was an easy route to take, let them go and audition. I won’t blame them. They didn’t audition. What they saw was three months of glamour for something that goes on for fives months.

“The audition was tough. How many can go through it? Many will break down psychologically. Before Big Brother, I had already started making moves. It’s just that you have no sponsors and you have to use your money to promote.

“Even those criticising, if they had a means, they would have loved to be there. It’s not an overnight success because I worked for it. Every day, I was showing my lifestyle for people to see my flaws and good sides.”
