The football superstar clocked 37 years on 5 February. He was born in 1985. is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and captains the Portugal national team.
Often considered the best player in the world and widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards and four European Golden Shoes, the most by a European player.
He has won 32 trophies in his career, including seven league titles, five UEFA Champions Leagues, one UEFA European Championship and one UEFA Nations League.
Ronaldo holds the records for most appearances (181), most goals (140) and assists (42) in the Champions League, most goals in the European Championship (14), most international goals by a male player (115), and most international appearances by a European male (184).
He is one of the few players to have made over 1,100 professional career appearances, and has scored over 800 official senior career goals for club and country.
2. Neymar
The Brazilian international clocked 30 years on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born in 1992.
Neymar is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team. He is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world.
Neymar came into prominence at Santos, where he made his professional debut aged 17. He helped the club win two successive Campeonato Paulista championships, a Copa do Brasil, and the 2011 Copa Libertadores; the latter being Santos’ first since 1963.
Neymar was twice named the South American Footballer of the Year, in 2011 and 2012, and soon relocated to Europe to join Barcelona.
As part of Barcelona’s attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, he won the continental treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League, and finished third for the FIFA Ballon d’Or in 2015 for his performances.
He then attained a domestic double in the 2015–16 season.
3. Tiwa Savage
The Nigerian Afrobeat queen was born on 5 February, 1980 in Isale Eko, Lagos. She clocked 42 on Saturday.
Savage relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. The singer began her music career doing backup vocals for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige. Savage moved back to Nigeria and signed with Mavin Records in 2012.
Her debut studio album Once Upon a Time was released on the 3rd of July 2013. In 2014, Tiwa Savage became the first female Nigerian artiste to be nominated for BET awards. In 2014, she also won best female category in the Channel O music awards show.
In November 2018, Savage won Best African Act at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards, becoming the first woman to win the category. In May 2019, Tiwa Savage announced her record deal with Universal Music Group and exit from Mavin Records
The singer’s music is a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, pop and hip-hop. Salvage has been involved in youth empowerment and breast cancer screening projects and has raised funds to build schools in Nigeria.
Savage was married to Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Tee Billz in 2013 and the marriage crashed in 2018. On 8 June 2021, Tiwa Savage was reported to have been involved in a skirmish with Seyi Shay at an upscale saloon in highbrow Lekki, Lagos
On 8 October 2021, Savage revealed in an interview that someone was trying to extort and blackmail her with a leaked sex tape of her and her boyfriend. On 19 October, 2021, Content of Tiwa Savage’s sex tape were disclosed to be vaginal intercourse with Savage being a party to it and the male partner’s identity unknown.
4. Faithia Williams
The popular Nollywood actress clocked 53 years on Saturday. She was born on February 5, 1971. She is a Nigerian actress, filmmaker, producer and director.
Faithia became an actress by chance. Faithia’s uncle, Alhaji Fatai Teniola, asked her to stand in for an actress that failed to show up in one of the productions of their movie.
Williams played her first role in the film title “Ta lo pa chief”. She has starred, produced, and directed several Nigerian films over the years. In 2008, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for the Most Outstanding Actress Indigenous and her movie Iranse Aje won the best indigenous film of the year.
In April 2014, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award, having emerged as best actress of the year along with Odunlade Adekola who emerged as best actor of the year.
She also won the Best Indigenous Language award for the work done in the film “Iya Alalake” at the 2015 Africa-Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards AMVCA.
Williams was formerly married to veteran Nollywood actor, Saheed Balogun, with whom she has two children, a son and a daughter. Fathia also has a son from an earlier relationship.
