Gov. AbdulRazaq congratulates Oba Abdulrafiu Oyelaran I

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has congratulated the Oloro of the Oro Kingdom, Oba Abdulrafiu Olaniyi Oyelaran I, on the 20th anniversary of his ascending the throne of his forebears.

The governor in a statement on Thursday by his Press Secretary, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye, prayed God to grant the traditional ruler good health and more rewarding years on the throne.

AbdulRazaq commended the traditional ruler for being a good father to all his subjects, irrespective of their cleavages.

The governor noted that his reign has attracted huge socioeconomic and physical development to the ancient town.

“The peace, harmony, and economic growths that are the hallmarks of Oro Kingdom are to the credit of His Royal Highness who actively works for peace, unity and development of the people.

“It is not surprising therefore that Oro remains a force to reckon with not just in the whole of Kwara South but in the entire State.

“On behalf of the people and government of Kwara State, I send our profound congratulations to His Royal Highness and the good people of Oro Kingdom (home and abroad) on this joyous occasion of the 20th anniversary of Oba Oyelaran 1.

“I pray the Almighty God to grant him good health and many more years of peaceful reign on the throne,” the statement read in part.
