A midnight fire engulfed Atakumosa central market, Ilesa early Sunday morning, destroying goods and properties worth millions of Naira.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started at about 2 a.m on Sunday at the Post Office section before spreading across the market.
However, grave damage had been made before personnel of the Federal and Osun State Fire Services put out the fire at 4 a.m.
As at the time of filing the report, the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
Most affected were boutiques, food items and provision shops located in the market.
