Russian border checkpoint destroyed by Ukraine's projectile

Ukrainian security forces have reportedly shelled the Russian Border checkpoint in Rostov region between Ukraine and Russia.

The checkpoint was destroyed by the projectile, the Russian news agency Sputnik reported.

Russia’s FSB security service also made same report, the Interfax news agency said.

The incident occurred 150 metres from the border between Russia and Ukraine, Interfax cited the FSB as saying.

Athough the border guard post was destroyed, there were no casualties.

Sporadic shelling across the line dividing Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists in the east has intensified since Thursday.
