Liverpool have cut Manchester City’s lead at the top to three points after demolishing Leeds United 6-0 on Wednesday at Anfield Stadium.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane grabbed brace each while  Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk got the other goals.

Salah opened scoring for Liverpool on 15 minutes from the penalty spot, putting the ball into the bottom right corner past the outstretched arm of Illan Meslier.

The homers doubled their lead on 30 minutes, as Salah fed the ball through to Matip, who picked up the pass inside the box and quickly sent it into the middle of the goal.

Five minutes later, Salah made it 3-0 from the penalty spot as he calmly stepped up and placed the ball into the top right corner.

Ten minutes to duration time, Mane made it 4-0, as he took a short pass from Jordan Henderson in his stride in the box, beat his man and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.

Mane then fired in the 5th goal after he got to a rebound into the middle of the goal and scored.

Defender Virgil van Dijk completed Leeds debacle heading in from a corner to make it 6-0.
