AIG Ibrahim Kaoje assumes duty at Maritime Police Command

Ibrahim Kaoje, new Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, has assumed duty as boss at the Maritime Police Command, Force Headquarters, Annex, Lagos.

He replaces AIG John Amadi who had been redeployed.

Maritime Police Command is in charge of Maritime Police, National inland waterways Police and the Port Authority Police both western and Eastern Command.

In a statement, AIG Kaoje In the course of his career in the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has attended several capacity building courses which include citizenship and leadership training course, shere hills, Jos, Plateau State; Advance detective course, Police Staff College, Jos; Intermediate Command course, Police Staff College, Jos; Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad Human Right Training, Police College, Lagos and others too numerous to mention.

Prior to his promotion to the rank of AIG, Kaoje has held several position in the Nigeria Police Force which include the pioneer Area Commander, Area Command, Idimu, Lagos; DCP in charge of FSARS, Lagos; CP Akwa Ibom State, CP Sokoto State, Deputy Commander, operation SAFE HAVEN, JOS, United Nation Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina as station officer, Police Contingent Commander, operation LAFIYA DOLE, Maduguri, Bornu State and other too numerous to mention.

AIG Kaoje has promised to enforce the directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman to the letter that maximum security must be provided along the waterways at all time.
