Diatron Health, a digital health startup founded by Samuel Bankole and Olutola Awosiku, was selected to participate in the FCMB SheVentures Tech Pitch competition, an event marking International Women’s Day and aimed at highlighting women-led technology ventures in Nigeria.

The competition, organised by SheVentures, First City Monument Bank’s programme for women in business, brought together early-stage startups working across sectors including healthcare, agriculture, education and financial services. The initiative, supported by Hub One and Passion Incubator, offers participants access to funding opportunities, business advisory resources and wider professional networks.

Awosiku, who represented the company at the event, said the pitch sessions created space for founders to share emerging digital solutions and discuss the challenges of building technology products in underserved sectors.

Diatron Health develops digital tools for preventive and chronic healthcare management, using mobile applications and cloud-based systems to support patient monitoring and communication. The startup had previously been admitted into the DMZ Pre-Incubator programme in Canada, which provides structured support for early-stage entrepreneurs.

Following the competition, both founders have continued work in their respective fields. Bankole has contributed to engineering projects in technology firms serving regional and international clients, while Awosiku remains active in health innovation initiatives alongside her training in medical laboratory science.

The SheVentures Tech Pitch is part of FCMB’s broader efforts to support women entrepreneurs through funding access, business development support and technical capacity-building.
