"We're committed To Increasing Wealth Creation among our Constituents" - Senator Oriolowo

Senator Adelere Oriolowo has stated that his reoccurring empowerment programmes are deliberate and consistent efforts to curb unemployment; alleviate poverty in his constituency and increase the wealth creation of his constituents.

Senator Oriolowo added that empowerment programmes were emphasized in his electoral promises during the campaigns and which he has been fulfilling consistently.

Speaking at the programme tagged ‘Entrepreneurship Training and Cash On Business Development’, Senator Adelere Oriolowo who was represented by the Honourable Ayofe Adisa Tajudeen, revealed that the programme is the 29th Edition of the empowerment and Cash grants and each edition has nothing less than 150 participants.

The former member of Osun State House of Assembly and Legislative Aide to the President of the Senate furthermore said, “Senator Oriolowo believes so much in the empowerment of the constituents. I remember when we were going for campaigns, he used to tell them he would not only give them fish but teach them the act of fishing.”

In the same lane, Mr Adedotun Adebowale who represented the consulting company, TAMGAJ Corporate Service Limited said they have been able to successfully train the participants on entrepreneurship skills with which they can amass millions without delving into illegals.

“It is general knowledge that people feel they know how to buy and sell, but there are much more to it. We implore them to make use of what they are given, training and Cash grants. They should maximize both.

“We did oral and written tests for them and we realized that more than 85% of them were able to grasp the teachings adequately.

Mr Adedotun afterwards implores governments at all levels to embark on this kind of employment training regularly, as such are capable of making people self-reliant and self-dependent.

In separate interactions with pressmen, participants expressed appreciation and support for the Senator.

Pastor Israel Kayode Daramola a clergyman and participant at the training, said “we appreciate the organizers of the programme, Senator Adelere Oriolowo. He did this to teach us how to do business and realize profits. He still went ahead to give us cash grants to start businesses.

“May God be with Senator Oriolowo. He did well. And may God give him another chance to represent his Constituency.

“I appeal to people of Osun West Senatorial District to continuously vote for him.

Furthermore, Mr Oyebamiji Adedamola conveyed his happiness to be part and beneficiary of the programme.

In addition, Mrs Ajenifuja Funmilayo said that she would not mind being a beneficiary of such empowerment in the nearest future.

Furthermore, Honourable Ayofe implored participants to apply the ‘Law of Readiness’, “for instance, even if a school brings teachers from England, but the students are not ready; nothing can happen.”

In conclusion, he entreated them to make good use of what was given towards maximization and productivity.

The five days training started on Monday and ended on the 11th of March 2022.
