Dr Justin Dean, the husband of embattled popular Nigerian dancer and singer, Korra Obidi, has again confirmed that he is walking away from their marriage of 4 years.
Dean on Tuesday in a post on social media said he is walking away from his marriage for his mental health and to be the best version of himself.
Obidi’s husband had earlier confirmed in a post on his Instastory that he will be filing the divorce paperwork this week.
Dean had earlier asked his fans and followers to ask him a question on Instastory.
In response to a question whether he was still married to his wife or if they were divorced, he wrote: “I’m filing paperwork this week. I will alway’s be there for my children, and wish her the best. This has absolutely nothing to do with post partum depression!”
Shortly after declaring his intention on his Instastory, Dean in a post where he shared a photo of himself wrote: “Anyone that knows me or watches me online knows that I’m a dedicated family man to both Korra and my children. This is honestly the hardest decision of my life, but necessary.
“I’m walking away from this marriage for my mental health and to be the best version of myself. I must set a healthy example for my children.
“This has nothing do with postpartum depression.
“I’ve been betrayed once again and she is unbothered, which pretty much summarizes our marriage.
“My apology to the all the young men and women that believed we had a “perfect marriage.
“Marriage is based on mutual love, respect, humility, accountability, empathy, apologies and most of all effective communication to understand the other person’s perspectives.
“Likes and views shouldn’t be the highlight of your relationship.
“Men: Your mental health matters!
“In order to be strong, you have to be happy.”
Dean’s latest revelation is coming after he publicly apologized to Korra Obidi and her family on Sunday while also addressing social media controversies over the paternity of his kids.
Dean had accused his wife of cheating, being a narcissist and not taking responsibility for her actions as he gave reasons for them getting a divorce.
He also claimed that his wife’s private was named after a club.
In his latest post, he apologised to fans that felt they had a perfect marriage, stating that likes and views should not be the highlight of a marriage.
Korra and Dean got married in 2018 and have two children together.
