Okanlawon Taiwo Alabi popularly known as Taiwo Alabi is a Nigerian journalist, entertainment Public Relations expert, digital media strategist, and talent manager.
Taiwo who hails from Osun State is a graduate of Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He also acquired Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Lagos State, Nigeria.
He began his media career at the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper in 2011, and had, over the time, worked with other notable traditional and online media outlets such as PM News, Nigerian Politics Online, Lambo Xtra Magazine, Nigerian News and Whatsupp Ibadan.
In 2019, he joined P.M. News, a daily newspaper published in Lagos, Nigeria, by the Independent Communications Network Limited (ICNL) covering metro, court, entertainment, and politics. He also contributes to the company’s weekly magazine, TheNEWS.
As an entertainment correspondent, he interviewed many Nigerian musicians, and media influencers like Yeni Kuti and Seun Kuti, the first child and last son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo- Kuti.
Taiwo Alabi had been arrested and harassed severally by officers of the Nigerian Police Force while discharging his duties. In 2018, he was arrested while covering the burning of a police command in Iwo, Osun State by irate youths after a SARS official shot and killed a young man during Sallah celebration. He was released after spending two weeks in detention.
The young entrepreneur is the co-founder of HO2Media, a digital media and public relations company dedicated to promoting people, brands, products, artistes, and events.
