The Teranga Lions of Senegal has stopped the Pharaoh of Egypt from qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, winning 3-1 in a penalty.

Senegal had earlier in January ended Egypt’s dream of winning their 9th Nations Cup trophy, beating the Egyptians on penalty to claim their first-ever nations cup trophy.

In today’s game, the match had ended with Senegal winning 1-0 in Dakar but tied on 1-1 on aggregate.

Egypt had won the first leg 1-0 in Cairo last week. With the match tied at 1-1, the game went through the 30 minutes of extra time without another.
