Cameroon qualify for World Cup

Karl Toko Ekambi’s last gasp goal has sent the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar at the expense of Algeria.

But Cameroon turned the table beating Algeria 1-0 on duration time. With the game tied on 1-1 aggregate, extra time was needed to decide the winner.

Cameroon had taken the lead on 22 minutes after Rais M’Bolhi made a huge mistake and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting had an easy task putting the ball into the back of the net.

Algeria equalised two minutes to the end of extra-time through Ahmed Touba.

He jumped highest inside the box to meet a perfectly executed corner kick by Rachid Ghezzal. His header was precise and ended up inside the right post, leaving the goalkeeper flapping in the wind.
