Mr. Buki Ponle, the Managing Director (MD) of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said President Muhammadu Buhari has good intentions for Nigeria but his efforts were being thwarted by saboteurs waging war on the country.

Ponle said this on Wednesday in Akure while meeting the staff of the agency on fact-finding reportage.

The MD, however, advised the agency’s staff not to be involved in “pull-down syndrome.”

According to him, every report must be fair, factual and the responses of parties involved must be considered.

Ponle said that efforts were on to revamp the agency, especially in reportage, while staff welfare was a priority to the leadership.
