Chelsea collapsed to an embarrassing humiliation at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, losing 1-4 to struggling Brentford.

Chelsea opened the scoring on 48 minutes as N’Golo Kante sent a pass onto Antonio Rudiger who unleashed a spectacular long-range shot and scored, as the ball went in off the left post, leaving the goalkeeper stranded.

The visitors equalised two minutes later. Bryan Mbeumo found Vitaly Janelt with a clever pass. He stepped inside his man on the edge of the box and whipped a tremendous shot into the left side of the goal.

Four minutes later, Brenford made it 1-2, from a superb work from Bryan Mbeumo, who played a vital role in the build-up. He squared it to Christian Eriksen, who beat Edouard Mendy with a brilliant shot into the top of the net.

Brentford got their third goal from Vitaly Janelt, who collected a pass and from inside the box lifted the ball over Edouard Mendy, who was off his line.

Three minutes to duration Yoane Wissa completed Chelsea’s debacle, as he fired the rebound inside the left post after the ball broke to him in the box.
