Sheikh Khalid brands Buhari a failure. Then he gets fired [Video]

Sheikh Nuru khalid has been sacked as the Chief Imam of Apo Friday Mosque in Abuja for branding President Muhammadu Buhari a failure.

In a sermon, the video of which is now trending in the social media, Khalid said Buhari has failed for not fulfilling his promise to end banditry and insurgency.

“You were given four years and an addition, yet people are dying like fowls. Killing is becoming the norm in Nigeria under your watch Mr President”, he said.

Khalid also blamed himself, governors, politicians and community leaders for not playing their role to stop the killings in the country.

The sermon last Friday, a reaction to the Kaduna train attack, instantly earned him a suspension by the mosque’s steering committee.

Many Nigerians have condemned the suspension.

Senator Shehu Sani, leading the reactions, has condemned the sack as unconscionable.

“His criticisms of the Government reflects the views of most Nigerians.He spoke truth to power at the right time.I urge the committee to reverse the decision”, he tweeted on Sunday.

A.M. Saleem also tweeting condemned the suspension of the bold Imam.\

“Sheikh Nuru Khalid fault was calling out this incompetent Govt for showing lackadaisical manner to commiserate with the victims of Abuja-Kaduna train attack.

“He was suspended off his duty for telling them the truth. I think this is why clerics are afraid to call Buhari out”, he wrote.

Is there nobody to take responsibility? I want to believe that we have all failed. I failed as an Imam to teach you that life is sacred. You all failed as parents to teach your children that killing is bad.

Our Community leaders failed. Our politicians failed. Governors failed, especially his Excellency the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You have failed us.

We have your video telling us that the military is capable. It has all the requirements to tackle the insurgency. And if you are voted into power, you are going to make sure this happens in a short time.

You were given four years and an addition, yet people are dying like fowls. Killing is becoming the norm in Nigeria under your watch Mr President.

Is there no Nigerian to tell you? I will take the responsibility of telling you and I will take the responsibility of the consequences because the lives and properties of Nigerians is(sic) above all.

Let me tell Mr President, under your watch bandits are demanding, are taxing Nigerians. Is that the provision of the constitution of Nigeria?
Under the constitution, no one has a right to tax Nigerians except authorised by the Federal Government.
