In May 2021, a Nigerian Air Force aircraft conveying former Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 others crashed in Kaduna killing all on board.

Two pilots reportedly died as an aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) crashed in Kaduna State on Tuesday.

The aircraft was said to be a trainer aircraft.

Details are still sketchy on the crash as the Nigerian Air Force was yet to issue a statement on the crash.

The aircraft was said to have crashed within the NAF base during training session.

The incident happened as the plane was trying to land in bad weather, the military had said. Ten other officers, including the plane’s crew also died.
