Magnificent Liverpool demolish Man United again, Salah reacts

Liverpool have proved once again they were not at par with Manchester United as they put four goals behind them at Anfield on Tuesday.

Mo Salah bagged a brace whilst their were also goals for Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane.

Salah now has scored five goals against United in a season, the first player to do so in Premier League history.

Liverpool have had a total of nine goals against the Manchester team, five of them at their first encounter in Old Trafford.

The Jurgen Klopp side have now taken over the table summit with 76 points.

Rivals Manchester City have 74 points.

They will have a chance to regain control of the summit if they beat Brighton on Wednesday.

Mo Salah, commenting on the match and City’s prospects of catching up said:

“It’s a top performance from us. I’ve scored lots of goals for this club and you’ll have periods when you don’t, but I wasn’t worried as long as the team is winning.

“The front three all play very well, we try to adapt to each other; it was a great ball from Sadio, he’s playing more as a number nine and doing a fantastic job.

“It’s great to be top but let’s wait until tomorrow. City are not an easy team to drop points but that’s not in our hands and we focus on ourselves”
