Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring for City in two minutes bursting into the box to get on the end of a whipped in a cross from Riyad Mahrez and scored magnificently from close range into the left side of the goal. 

Manchester City have beaten Real Madrid 4-3 at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of their semi-final clash in the Champions League.

Karim Benzema hit one back for Madrid on 33 minutes after meeting a perfect cross from Ferland Mendy deep inside the box and controlled it with a nice first touch. He produced an accurate strike into the bottom right corner via the post.

The homers made it 3-1 on 53 minutes after a perfect lofted pass from Fernandinho found Phil Foden, who jumped highest and steered a close-range header into the right side of the goal.
Vinicius Junior scored Madrid’s second goal two minutes later, finishing his beautiful individual effort with a superb strike from inside the box.
Bernardo Silva gave City a 4-2 lead on 74 minutes, pouncing on a loose ball inside the box and beat the goalkeeper with a shot into the top left corner.
Madrid got a life-line on 83 minutes as they were awarded a penalty Karim Benzema put the ball into the roof of the net past the outstretched arm of Ederson.
