Operatives of Puff Ader tactical unit of the Rivers Police Command have have re- arrested two boys aged 16 and 19 of the same parents for allegedly defiling two- year- old twins (boy and girl) in Port Harcourt.

The mother of the twins Mrs Achinihu Clement made the disclosure to our reporter late Monday night.

Mrs Clement said she wants justice for her children.

Narrating how she discovered the alleged defilement of her two year old twins, Mrs Clement stated that when she wanted to dress her son up on 10th of January, 2022, she observed that her son was not able to sit on the bed.

She said upon interrogation her son told her that is her 16-year- male in-law who resides with them tampered with his anus through sodomy.

Mrs Clement revealed that she immediately took the children to the hospital and after examination, three different Doctors and Nurses checked confirmed penetration and defilement of her son.

She added tat the same medical examination was carried out on twin girl and it was discovered that the hymen of private part has been completely removed.

She said that she made an entry to Puff Ader tactical unit and the suspects were arrested but later released.

In the meantime time the Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign has lauded the Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday for ensuring the re-arrest of the suspects.

A lawyer with the human rights advocacy group,Charles Edwin called for thorough investigation into the incident to determine the culpability of the suspects.

Mr Edwin added that if the suspects are found culpable they should be made to face the law.

As at press time, our correspondent gathered that the suspects have been transferred to human rights desk at Police headquarters, Moscow road Port Harcourt.
