Kaduna State University (KASU), on Wednesday, broke ranks with the the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU) by ordering its students and teachers back to school.
In a statement, the state owned university asked all academic staff members and students to resume full academic activities on May 9, 2022.
The institution’s management has scheduled the commencement of full academic activities for the 2020/2021 academic year for May 9.
In a circular dated April 26, and signed by its academic secretary, Abdullahi Zubairu, the school management directed all students and lecturers of the institution to resume academic activities.
It advised all the lecturers and students to abide by the academic calendar.
The industrial action embarked upon by ASUU has extended two months with the Federal Government yet to accede to the lecturers’ demands.
