Operatives of Edo State Police Command at the weekend arrested two suspected paedophiles, for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl.

The suspects, Collins Odaro Otabor (30) and Junior Ozoba (30) were arrested for conspiracy and defiling of the victim (name withheld), on 28 April, 2022, in Ekehuan community, Egor LGA of the State.

A statement by the Command’s spokesman, SP Kontongs Bello, said the arrest of the suspects was part of the Command’s renewed efforts to stem the increasing rate of sexual violence against women and children in the State.
