He said despite the poor welfare, pang of hunger, hyperinflation, mass unemployment, and insecurity challenges, the Nigerian workers have continued to work hard.

Olufemi Ajadi, a young presidential aspirant on the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), said he feels the pains of Nigerian workers and will ensure better welfare when elected in 2023.

In a special message marking May Day 2022, released in Abuja on Monday, Ajadi described Nigerian workers as the best in the world.

He said despite the poor welfare, pang of hunger, hyperinflation, mass unemployment, and insecurity challenges, the Nigerian workers have continued to work hard.

Ajadi said: “Kenya recently increased its minimum wage by 12 percent, making it $130 a month meanwhile Africa’s biggest economy, Nigeria, our minimum wage is at N30,000, which equals $72 a month.

“This tells us where we are in our country, we must do better.

“Nigerian workers are doing well, giving their 100 percent every day but go home with peanuts at the end of the month. This must stop and I will ensure I put a stop to all these hardships in 2023.”

Ajadi, however, urged Nigerian workers not to give up.

He urged them to go get their Permanent Voters Cards in preparation for a change of leadership in 2023.

He said: “It is clear we need a change of leadership in Nigeria, and this will not be achieved without the Nigerian workers. I urge everyone to go get their PVCs and please don’t vote for moneybags. Please don’t vote for politicians who will further impoverish you in 2023. I promise to give you my best, I can do it and I will do it.”
