The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi on Monday visited former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Kumuyi is currently in Abeokuta for his church’s six days Global Crusade, tagged: “Complete Dominion.”
Kumuyi told Obasanjo that the church had enjoyed his leadership here in Nigeria and what he is still doing.
“By the grace of God, we have enjoyed your leadership and it still continues till this time both in Nigeria here and even beyond.
“It is a common knowledge that your impact and legacy giving to our country and your leadership in the world is something that will not easily be forgotten,” he said.
Kumuyi prayed God to grant Obasanjo many more years to contribute to the progress of the country.
“We are here for this global crusade. It touches virtually every continent and they relate with us. There is a global committee that meet for this and testimonies come from everywhere,” he added.
Kumuyi stated that his visit was to show respect to Obasanjo and to also invite him to attend the crusade where he could share his words of wisdom with the people and the global community.
Responding, Obasanjo thanked God for his life, saying God still had more to do with him in the coming years.
”I thanked God for your life because he has not finished with you yet. We need to continue to pray for this country, particularly at this time unless we want to deceive ourselves.
”We are not where we should be and if we are going to be where we should be, we have to pray. The pandemic Was here for almost three years and shut the world down. The global crusade is the right thing to do. I believe the crusade will impact something new in Nigeria,” he said.
