Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday attended the Deeper Life Bible Church’s Global Crusade in Abeokuta, Ogun State where he said all is not well with Nigeria.

General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi had visited Obasanjo in his house on Monday and invited him to the crusade.

Obansanjo, who mounted the pulpit, said the crusade of this nation was needed when one considered what is going on in Nigeria, West Africa and the world at large.

“I did say yesterday that when you consider what is going on in Nigeria, West Africa and in the continent of Africa, and what is going on in the world, our city, our state, our region of West Africa and in deed our world requires crusade of this nature.

“I did say also yesterday that some people accused us Christians of religiosity without Christianity. That has been the position of the world, even in the time of Jesus Christ, but should we lose hope? No, there is no time in the world that things had been bad and the children of the Lord did not stand out.

“In the time of Noah, he stood out, God described Job in a way that not many people have been so described, a man who feared God and evil, honesty and a man of great integrity.

“I believe because of men and women like that in Nigeria today, God will open His eyes and He will have mercy on this country.

“Unless those who did not want to be fair to this country, those who don’t want to be honest with themselves will say that all is well. All is not well, but then, if we trust in God, and we believe in Jesus Christ, all will be well.

“Children of God, what ever may be the situation and condition, let us have faith in God and all will be well,” he stated.
