PDP shifts NEC meeting, screening appeal hearings

The National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will now hold on Tuesday 10 May.

The meeting was earlier slated for 5 May.

National Secretary, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu disclosed the change in a statement.

He said that the earlier date clashed with the local government delegate elections involving all party members.

Anyanwu said the meeting will still hold at the National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

Similarly, the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) also rescheduled the screening appeal for all aspirants for governorship and president from Tuesday, May 3 to Wednesday, May 4.

The party, in a separate statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Debo Ologunagba ,in Abuja on Monday night, said that the adjustment in date was occasioned by the Eid-Fitir celebration.

“The NWC apologises for any inconveniences this change in date might have caused,” Ologunagba said
