A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has urged delegates not to be emotional but to be rational when casting their votes during the primary to select the flag bearer for the party in the 2023 general election.

Hayatu-Deen made the call on Monday while he addressed party delegates of Kaduna State at the party secretariat in Kaduna.

According to him, delegates played a key role in determining the choice of the party’s presidential flag bearer.

“I urge you not to be emotional or sentimental but be rational in the discharge of your duty.”

He further enjoined party members to eschew any form of differences and choose credible candidates who would take Nigeria to greater heights.

The aspirant regretted the ravaging effect of insecurity and the economic downturn witnessed in the country.
