Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Thursday cried out that Boko Haram terrorists have relocated to the state.

The governor also decried rising activities of Ansaru insurgents in Birnin Gwari and Chukun local governments of Kaduna state.

He spoke at the presentation of the Kaduna State Security Incident Report of the first quarter of 2022.

The event occurred at the Council Chambers of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.

El-Rufai said the debriefing of the first Abuja-Kaduna train attack revealed that the terrorists were making comments like the Kaduna forests were even more better than the Sambisa Forest.

He added that insurgency was gradually moving away from the North East to the North West in view of the rising incidents of terrorists attack in the area.

According to the governor, the situation in the North West was far more serious and could be potentially more dangerous than what occurred in the North East.

The governor called on the military and security agencies to take notice of this before it went out of control.

El-Rufai also said the use of  Improvised Explosive Devices and mines in Kaduna state was rising and that something urgent must be done to nip this in the bud.

The governor added that there had been rising cases of drug intake in Kaduna, saying that the terrorists normally took drugs before embarking on operation.
