Everton survive relegation

Everton came back from two goals down to beat Crystal Palace 3-2 on Thursday to escape relegation.

Palace were two goals up in the first half, but Everton came back to score three goals in the second half to win the match.

Palace were in front on 21 minutes. The ball was whipped in from the resulting set piece and found Jean-Philippe Mateta, who rose and produced a crashing header low into the middle of the net.

The visitors made it 2-0 on 36 minutes. Jordan Ayew fired the rebound low into the middle of the goal after the ball broke to him in the box.

Everton pulled one back on 54 minutes after Michael Keane was set free in the area by Mason Holgate and he made no mistake with a lovely finish into the left side of the net.

Richarlison equalised for Everton on 75 minutes. He was in the right place at the right time to get to the rebound inside the box and gleefully rifles the ball low inside the right post.
Five minutes to duration time, Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave Everton the win.
The ball was whipped in from the resulting set piece and found Calvert-Lewin, who rose and produced a crashing header into the middle of the net to make it 3-2.
The results means that whatever happened in Everton’s last game against Arsenal, they will play in the premier league next season as Burnley could not win at Aston Villa today, playing a 1-1 draw.
