Four governorship aspirants have withdrawn from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primary elections in Plateau.

The four aspirants, who withdrew from the race early Thursday, were Chief Latep Dabang, former Rep. Timothy Golu, Mr Sam Pam, and Mr. Vincent Nanle.

After the withdrawal of the four, 14 aspirants remained in the race to produce a flag bearer for the party.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that accreditation of the delegates started Wednesday night, while voting started in the early hours of Thursday.

A total of 621 delegates were accredited to vote to produce the candidate of the party for next year’s general election.
